Las reglasThe rules
Hay lisas (1-7), rayadas (9-15) y la 8. Cada jugador emboca su grupo: el que mete todas las suyas y después la 8, gana.
Solids (1-7), stripes (9-15) and the 8. Pot your own group: clear it, then sink the 8 to win.
Se rompe desde atrás de la línea de saque. La mesa queda «abierta» hasta que alguien emboca de jugada legal: recién ahí cada uno tiene su grupo.
Break from behind the head string. The table stays “open” until someone legally pots a ball: only then are the groups set.
Mientras sigas embocando bolas de tu grupo, seguís tirando. ¿Fallaste? Turno del rival.
Keep potting your group and you keep shooting. Miss, and it’s your opponent’s turn.
Meter la blanca, no tocar primero una bola de tu grupo o mandar una bola al piso es falta: el rival juega con bola en mano, donde quiera.
Scratching, failing to hit your own group first or knocking a ball off the table is a foul: your opponent plays ball in hand, anywhere.
Con tu grupo completo, cantá la tronera antes de tirar. Embocar la 8 antes de tiempo, en otra tronera o junto con la blanca: partida perdida.
Once your group is cleared, call the pocket. Sink the 8 early, in the wrong pocket or along with the cue ball: game lost.
Regla de la casa: el ganador defiende la mesa y espera al que sigue. Pedite otra pinta mientras tanto.
House rule: the winner keeps the table and takes on the next challenger. Grab another pint while you wait.

El paño se respeta: las pintas viven en la repisa, nunca sobre la banda.
Respect the felt: pints live on the shelf, never on the rail.
Se juega con buena onda: el que pierde paga la ronda, o aplaude.
Good vibes only: loser buys the round, or at least applauds.
